![]() Billy doesn't seem all the way there right now, to be honest, and when John confronts him over Erin Billy does confess to killing her, but it's hard to be sure he's actually all there when he does it. The audience gets clued into this well before Mare does, because we get to see John come home to his upset father, who confesses that on the night of the murder, Billy came home covered in blood, which they washed away. and it appears that Erin's cousin Billy may have engaged her in inappropriate relations. Her ex-boyfriend Dylan isn't the father of her baby, we know, which means there's someone else out there at least responsible for her pregnancy. After the ending of Episode 5 of Mare of Easttown, its very considerate of Episode 6 to give us (as well as Mare) a little recovery time. So maybe check it out now before the final ep airs in a week, and you can decide if you want to take space between eps, or binge it ~ in which case you might still be forced into a few days of breathing room and speculation before the final.By the way, the only thing sadder than the rough and raw manner of Colin's death is the fact that Evan Peters is no longer with us, which is a damn shame, given how much verve he brought to the show. ![]() But if I had the option of binging I think I’d find it hard to resist because the end of each episodes leave me wanting more (granted it’s clearly written with those endings not as cliff hangers, rather narrative points that require more breathing room after them). I’m not sure I’d enjoy it so much if I binged it, because aside from being heavy at times, it’s also visually heavy in that there’s a real stoney blue-grey palate to most shots.
